On April 28th, NARI joined forces with LIBI and took a trip to the New York State Capital to make our collective voices heard in Albany.  Meetings were had with legislators such as Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Morelle, Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, Senator Phil Boyle, Senator Tom Croci’s Chief of Staff, Chrisopher Molluso, Assemblyman Chuck Lavine and Assemblyman Robin Schimminger.

"The issues discussed in Albany affect every one of us in some way or another," said Laurence Carolan, NARI National Government Affairs Chairman and local chapter member.  "As part of a PAC, it is important that NARI representatives are able to voice their opinions on important issues like the antiquated Scaffold Law."

This sentiment was echoed by NARI Executive Director Regina Biondo, "It is essential for our association to be in the forefront of the political issues that are significant to our members and to the remodeling industry.”  Biondo also added, "since joining the PAC, our membership as a whole has become more aware of the importance of being seen and heard in Albany."

NYC/LI NARI would like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to attend Lobby Day!
