It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home! The NYC-LI Chapter of NARI showed it has plenty of heart by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park to help renovate the space for its 2013 Designer Showcase.
NARI members took care of the flooring, painting, moulding and more. Special thanks to Laurence Carolan of House of Laurence and Robi Kirsic of TimeLine Renovations who took the lead and devoted countless hours coordinating the project.
The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in local hospital facilities. A "home away from home", the House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden.
