Membership Committee Chairperson: Dawn Cameron - Wells Fargo
The Membership Committee normally meets on the third Wednesday of each month, at 5:00pm, at the NARI office. They are tasked with NARI NYC LI membership engagement, member retention, and new member recruitment.
Public Relations Committee Chairperson: Sharon McGovern - Nassau/Suffolk Lumber
The Public Relations (PR) Committee normally meets on the first Thursday of each month, at 9:30am, at the NARI office. They are tasked with increasing homeowner awareness, the development of initiatives to raise media presence and the management/direction of our social media channels.
Evening of Excellence Chairperson: Barry Goggin MCR, CKBR- Barry Goggin Construction
The Evening of Excellence Committee meets when applicable. They are tasked with the execution and promotion of our annual Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards dinner. This event acknowledges outstanding achievements within our membership, through the submission of binders highlighting the completion of award-worthy projects. The committee is also tasked with the execution and promotion of our annual Chapter Awards and Officer Installation Dinner.
Government Affairs Committee/Contractor Council Chairperson: Doug Dervin CR, CLC - Double D Contractors
The Government Affairs Committee meets when applicable. The committee is tasked with tracking local & state legislative issues that impact the remodeling industry or, small business interests.The committee also stays in touch with regulatory agencies that have ties to the remodeling industry. The NARI NYC LI membership is kept in the know about these issues via articles in the monthly newsletter.
Golf Committee Chairperson: Dominick Mupo- Chelsea Home Remodeling
The Golf Committee meets when applicable. The committee is tasked with the execution and promotion of our annual Golf Classic.
CotY Committee Chairperson: Kerry O'Brien, P.E., T. F. O'Brien Cooling and Heating
The Contractor of the Year (CotY) Committee meets when applicable. The committee is tasked with reviewing binder submissions, for the Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards, and assigned scores for each applicant.
By Laws Committee Chairperson: Art Donnelly, Legacy Builders & Remodelers Corp.
The By Laws Committee meets when applicable. The committee is tasked with ensuring that our membership is adhering to our set of internal by laws. If there is a proposed change, they are tasked with bringing the issue to light, holding a vote, and amending the by laws as necessary.
Education Committee Chairperson: Laurence Carolan, GCP, CR,House of Laurence
The Education Committee meets when applicable. They are tasked with creating educational programs, as well as organizing and hosting roundtable discussions, workshops and continuing education programs for employees.
Community Service Committee Chairperson: Laurence Carolan, GCP, CR,House of Laurence
The Community Service Committee is tasked with finding community service outreach projects for our chapter each year. They are also tasked with the execution and promotion of each outreach.
Programming Committee Chairperson: Robi Kirsic ,CKBR- Timeline Renovations, Inc.
The Programming Committee meets when applicable and is tasked with the development of our dinner meetings. This can include anything from the overall flow, to national speakers and educational elements.
Scholarship Committee Chairperson: Patrick Bentivegna, CR, BENCO Construction
The Scholarship Committee meets when applicable. They are tasked with the execution and promotion of the NARI NYC LI scholarship fund; to be given to a high school student looking to enter the remodeling industry.
Ethics Committee Chairperson: Joel Blatt, CR/ Tony Tiso,MCR, CKBR, Jarro Building Industries
The Ethics Committee meets when applicable. They are tasked with handling any member complaints received by the office. The committee ensures that the NARI code of ethics is upheld by our membership at all times.
Suppliers Council: Dominic Briante, CPS Financial Solutions
The Suppliers Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month, at 12:00pm. They are tasked with execution and promotion of the annual NARI Contractor Trade Show each January.
Strategic Planning: Robert Zabbia, Zabbia Insurance Agency
The Strategic Planning Committee meets when applicable. They are tasked with developing the vision and strategy of NARI NYC LI.
