James Hardie2Siding - It comes in all shapes, sizes and colors; it is the wrapping on the present, the icing on the cake. Siding can also make or break your home's curb appeal.

There are many different types of siding: wood, vinyl, fiber cement and now fiberglass sidings, each having benefits and drawbacks. More important than the product may be the actual installation. Is the contractor someone who is familiar with the product? Not all contractors are proficient in siding, and not all siding companies can install all types of siding. Make sure to confirm that your installer is properly trained and always use licensed and insured craftsmen to work on your home.

Most sidings do not have an “R” factor or insulation value so careful consideration should be given to how the house is 'wrapped' prior to installing the siding of your choice. A truly experienced installer will be glad to advise you on the different options, so you can make an informed decision. And remember, the manufacturer is always the last word if you are concerned about maintaining your warranty and/or guarantee.
